40 Micron Cold Weather High Tack Aluminium Foil Tape
GT40HT™ is a premium 40 micron cold weather adhesive aluminium foil tape. Manufactured to the highest of specifications and coated with a high tack solvent acrylic pressure sensitive instant grab adhesive, this conformable dead soft 40 micron aluminium foil tape can be easily moulded to irregular surfaces, maintaining insulation efficiency by protecting against the effects of fire, moisture and dust.

Typical Applications
Typical applications for GT40HT™ 40 micron aluminium foil tape. Widely used in the HVAC industry for jointing and sealing of foil-scrim faced laminated fibreglass blankets, duct board, pipe sections and seams. This 40 micron cold weather aluminium foil tape is extensively used but not limited to jointing and sealing of flexible air duct seams and connections, in both internal and external applications.
Also used in other industrial applications requiring a cold weather aluminium foil tape with similar characteristics and benefits. Please check with a technical product expert to determine the suitability for this 40 micron foil tape for a particular purpose prior to use.

Surface Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are dry and clean, free from dirt, dust, grease, oil and silicones.
Ensure firm pressure is applied to the high tack foil tape to provide the best adhesive bond, and that sufficient tape is applied (of at least 25mm) either side of joints to provide a long-lasting seal.
Application
Remove the release paper from the section of GT40HT™ high tack aluminium foil tape, taking care not to touch the cold weather adhesive surface.
Align the tape centrally over the join. Pull the tape taut and then press down firmly over the entire joint area.
Rub the tape to remove any wrinkles or folds.
Product Shelf Life
12 months when stored in original, unopened packaging at 21˚C (70˚F) / 50% relative humidity, and kept out of direct sunlight.
