GTB65™ is a professional grade reinforced 30 micron matt black aluminium foil tape. This foil / scrim laminate with a bi-directional 5mm x 5mm reinforcement is coated with an aggressive rubber adhesive and protected by an easy release silicone paper.
Being of laminated construction and manufactured to the highest of specifications this professional reinforced matt black aluminium foil tape product is easily conformable to irregular surfaces, providing an effective instant barrier against, heat cold, dust and moisture. Typical Applications
Typical applications for GTB65™ reinforced matt black aluminium foil tape. Widely used by the HVAC industry in commercial or entertainment internal voids for the jointing and sealing of foil-scrim faced laminated fibreglass blankets, duct board, pipe sections and seams. GTB65™ reinforced matt black aluminium foil tape is extensively used but not limited to joining and sealing of flexible air duct seams and connections, where design requirements are sympathetic to their environment and aesthetics are of a paramount requirement.

Surface Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are dry and clean, free from dirt, dust, grease, oil and silicones.
Ensure firm pressure is applied to the tape to provide the best adhesive bond, and that sufficient tape is applied (of at least 25mm) either side of joints to provide a long-lasting seal.
Application
Remove the release paper from the section of GTB65™ reinforced matt black aluminium foil tape , taking care not to touch the adhesive surface.
Align the tape centrally over the join. Pull the tape taut and then press down firmly over the entire joint area.
Rub the aluminium foil tape to remove any wrinkles or folds.
Product Shelf Life
12 months when stored in original, unopened packaging at 21˚C (70˚F) / 50% relative humidity, and kept out of direct sunlight.
